The Festival of Marketing is a the largest marketing festival outside of the U.S where ambitious marketers discover, learn, celebrate and shape the future of marketing together. It is unique in offering marketers both inspiration and tools to apply insights to their own brands. This year, the programme focused on icons and influence, understanding the people and brands that lead the way in marketing, social, technology and business. With a focus on influencer engagement, our CEO, Dudley Nevill-Spencer curated and hosted The Influencer Panel with an incredibly talented group of influencers including DJ Zara Martin, fashion Influencer Doina Coibanu and Hollywood actress Alice Eve, with a discussion on the real value of influence and how politics should be harnessed by brands. working on influencer engagement.

Our influencer panel provided an understanding of the importance of focussing on passions and values when connecting brands to consumer, what they look for when being approached by a brand, political views and personal interests, and their ability to connect with their following in a way that brands traditionally cant.

As well as offering exclusive insight into influencer engagement, Brand Revolution curated the Festival After Dark – an afterparty and evening of entertainment for Festival of Marketing attendees. We were delighted to bring together a fantastic line up – with Tom Findlay of Groove Armada headlining the event alongside Zara Martin, BB Diamond and Bittersweet DJs Ashley James and Charlotte De Carle.

With more than 200 speakers, workshops, awards, experience rooms and training, the Festival of Marketing is the only event that truly reflects the creative, strategic and tactical job that marketers do. Attendees were given the opportunity to listen to commentary from industry experts such as Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, who headlined the event and spoke of his life and experience within Apple, and working with Steve Jobs. Other business experts such as Sir Martin Sorrell, the chief executive officer of WPP PLC explored global marketing trends and the future of experimental marketing. An incredibly interesting event that we were delighted to be a part of.
