From some TLC with ghd, a glamorous backgammon tournament with Pamela Anderson and Dame Vivienne Westwood to sipping cocktails with R-Patz – here’s what we got up to…

ghd Pop-up Style Bar at Nikki Beach

Oh did we have a good hair day every day in Cannes, thanks to the stylists at ghd! The beloved hair brand made a star appearance at Cannes with an exclusive pop-up style bar within Nikki Beach which was produced by Brand Revolution. The ghd stylists created red carpet looks for Nikki Beach guests, VIPs and talent with a how-to video released each day.  It proved to be the perfect pit-stop when we needed a style refresh, and their team had us looking red-carpet ready using the iconic ghd eclipse styler.

The Pamela Anderson Foundation Launch at La Gold Plage

Pamela Anderson, Dame Vivienne Westwood and a charity backgammon tournament on the beach. It has to be said it was a bizarre yet ingenious concept that lead to one of the most talked about events at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The event was of course the official launch of The Pamela Anderson Foundation at which Pamela delivered one of the bravest speeches in her career explaining why she is so passionate to support organisations and individuals on the frontline of human rights, animal rights and environmental protection.

The intimate event raised in excess of $150,000 for non-profit organization Cool Earth and the forthcoming climate crisis feature documentary THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.

Starring Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson, “The Rover” premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday 28th May 2014. The event drew a star studded crowd including Adrian Grenier, Kit Harrington, Ron Perlman, Ned Benson and Maika Monroe.

May Part 1 – Bailey & Hirst: The Next Generationjack cheatleSat, 31 May 2014 14:47:00 +0000/blog/2014/6/10/may-part-1-bailey-hirst-the-next-generation50b3258ee4b033e6125ec96d:512373fde4b0b5151b78e4a3:53971657e4b02675f1e97904It was back in February that we were at The National Portrait Gallery to celebrate the legend that is David Bailey at his latest exhibition, “Bailey's Stardust”.

But little did anybody know that just three months later there would be another Bailey exhibition to take London by storm.

This time it was 19 year old Sascha Bailey who unveiled “The Route Less Travelled” – an exhibition that explores the idea that education is not limited to the classroom by displaying works from seven artists who have not received a formal degree education.

The showcasewas a joint effort between Sascha and long-time friends Conor Fitzgerald-Bond and Lily Bloom who have collaborated to form The Something Else Collective.

The private view, sponsored by Patrón Tequila, was a night of firsts as Connor Hirst débuted his sculptural work entitled “Mac Exposed,”following his father Damien Hirst’s footsteps into the art world.

Proud parents David and Catherine Bailey came to support their two sons, Sascha and Fenton (a successful photographer in his own right), even stopping for a rare family photo on their way in.

Guests celebrated the success of the night with aptly named cocktails:

•    The Bond – Patrón Tequila Long Cosmo
•    The Bloom – Patrón Tequila Patron Mexican Mule
•    The Bailey – Patrón Tequila Blue Margarita

With their first show done and dusted, the group have well and truly begun to pave the way for a new and exciting generation of artists. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

Unlimited amounts of Moet, Dom Perignon and Belvedere, aerial dancers suspended on Miley Cyrus style disco (wrecking) balls, 'housemaids' performing in giant martini glasses and a laser show that would rival most major festivals – to call this party ‘wild’ would be a massive understatement!

The event was the third instalment in the now infamous Seven Deadly Sins parties at Koko in Camden and as per usual it was a sell-out success with over 1500 people walking through the door! Partygoers included BAFTA award winning Will Poulter, E4’s ‘Made in Chelsea’ favourites Jaime Laing, Rosie Fortescue and Natalie Joel, billionaire financier Andy Wong and presenter Pips Taylor.

For those who missed it, you can catch Jacobi Anstruther-Gough Calthorpe, Sebastian Macdonald-Hall, Taylor McWilliams and Carl Waxberg at Blue Marlin Ibiza on the last Saturday of every month this summer:

Sipping Smirnoff & Stepping Into The Shadows with Mr. Hudson!jack cheatleThu, 10 Apr 2014 11:14:00 +0000/blog/2014/4/10/sipping-smirnoff-stepping-into-the-shadows-with-mr-hudson50b3258ee4b033e6125ec96d:512373fde4b0b5151b78e4a3:5346795ce4b0207406d636c9Wow that title is a mouthful! On Monday 24th March, we at Brand Revolution were proud to host a night at The Box where Mr. Hudson exclusively performed his new album ‘Step Into The Shadows’ live for the first time

If that wasn’t exciting enough, Idris Elba surprised guests by joining Mr. Hudson and rapper Giggs on stage to perform the highly anticipated track from the album titled, ‘Pull the Trigger’.

Taking a well-deserved break from filming the new season of 24 in London, Kiefer Sutherland was spotted amongst the crowd enjoying the gig.

Also enjoying the exclusive album preview was artist Nick Gentry, art curator Sascha Bailey, DJs from Housekeeping, fashion designer Patrick Grant, model Olivia Inge, and photographer Rankin along with wife Tuuli Shipster.

Guests were seen dancing away to the newly unveiled tracks as well as enjoying a cheeky Smirnoff ‘Shadow’ cocktail (which Mr Hudson worked with Smirnoff to create himself!).

The London artist received much praise for his latest work which he describes as music written for “hidden and discrete moments” –  perfect for a night of debauchery at The Box.

Having already worked with the likes of Kanye West on ‘Supernova’, Miley Cyrus on ‘Real & True’ and Jay Z on ‘Young Forever’ and now an amazing new album under his belt, we expect to see big things from Mr. Hudson in the future! #WATCHTHISSPACE

We kicked it off with the opening of famed French photographer Rancinan’s solo exhibition at the Opera Gallery London on Tuesday evening. The exhibition, very aptly titled ‘XXL’ featured five of Rancinan’s unique monumental sized that have previously only been displayed separately.

Before being brought together at Opera Gallery London, these epic images  were individually exhibited in museums all over the globe: the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France; the Triennale Museum in Milan, Italy; the Danubiana Contemporary Art Museum in Bratislava, Slovakia; the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris, France; etc. After London, their next destination will be the Himalayas Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai, China and the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Curitiba, Brazil.

Rancinan orchestrates his photo-shoots to parody fashion, materialism, capitalism and religion by re-creating the scenes of classic masterpieces such as Mantegna and Leonardo da Vinci and subverting them. Each of the photographs is a reflection of modern culture proving that the acclaimed photographer constantly strives to break down barriers as an investigator of our times; deconstructing the great sagas of contemporary life and showcasing them through his portraiture.

The exhibition ‘XXL’ curated by Jean-David Malat, will be at Opera Gallery London from March 18th- 3rd April 2014.

Last night, Thursday 20th then saw us heading to Fouberts Place just off Carnaby Street for another lovely art client, Scream Editions, to launch their Soho Pop Up.

The online platform, which sells original prints from heavyweights such as Tracey Emin, Charming Baker, Pakpoom Silaphan, Lyle Owerko and Remi Rough, is revolutionising the art world by offering people a chance to start their own art collection on an affordable budget and constantly pushes the boundaries of print through exclusive edition releases and exciting exhibitions.

Jamie Wood (son of Rolling Stones legend, Ronnie, and owner of London’s super successful Scream Gallery) is behind the concept which was borne out of a love of prints and desire to make quality, contemporary art accessible and available to everyone.

The evening saw Jamie, his wife Jodie and their young boys welcome guests including Jamie’s mother Jo Wood to the pop up gallery for the evening. Harry Hill, who'd been at the matinee performance of ' I Can’t Sing! - The X-Factor Musical' which is due to open next week, popped by in support of his wife Magda Archer, who’s artwork was on display, saying he loves all of her work but if he had to choose a favourite it would be ‘Sam Cam’s Sugar Candy Kisses’ which David Cameron is rumoured to have gifted a print of to his wife Sam for Valentine's Day.

The evening was a great success and the pop up is sure to be busy over the next few weeks. Make sure to get down there, it’s open 7 days a week from 21st March to 18th April 2014 at 20 Foubert's Pl London W1F 7PL!!
