The Group
HOUSEKEEPING is the latest house music phenomenon to hit the London music scene. Born out of a shared passion for music, HOUSEKEEPING was founded in 2012 by London based DJs Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, Taylor McWilliams, Carl Waxberg and Sebastian Macdonald-Hall. Following a successful 2013 residency in Ibiza, endless trips to Mexico BPM, Burning Man, Glastonbury and Sonar; HOUSEKEEPING aims to create a totally unique music experience. Their events attract an international and eclectic crowd of likeminded individuals, willing to explore the globe in search of exceptional experiences.
The Event
On November 23rd 2013, HOUSEKEEPING will be launching their latest venture, a series of events titled The Seven Deadly Sins, beginning with the green-eyed monster, ‘Envy’ which will be held at Koko in Camden from 11pm-5am, offering guests a huge theatrical experience unlike any other.
True to HOUSEKEEPING form, the event will be a mix of great music, an amazing crowd and above all hedonism, involving unparalleled production elements and creating a truly unique nightlife experience. HOUSEKEEPING makes a point of transforming every venue they work with until almost unrecognizable making the party truly inimitable. Always ensuring to deliver fresh music, HOUSEKEEPING pride themselves on their innovative music policy whereby each member has their own signature sound, blending a mixture of never before heard tracks and classics.
HOUSEKEEPING has teamed up with Made Up Productions who supply, install, theme and produce events for; Jamie Jones’s PARADISE, DEFECTED, HED KANDI, USHUAIA, AMNESIA, PACHA and ANDY C, ensuring that this event is not one to be missed, bringing a little bit of Ibiza to wintery London.
The Faces
All four members of HOUSEKEEPING bring something a little different to the group. From Carl Waxberg, whose tracks tend to be heavy on harmonic melodies, making sure people can dance along to every song, to Sebastian MDH who began DJ’ing aged 19 and whose music is influenced by hip hop and garage. Jacobi Anstruther Gough Calthorpe’s Ibiza experiences ignited his passion for house music over a decade ago and he now strives to bring that experience to party goers in London whilst Taylor McWilliams has been obsessed with beats since taking up drumming at the age of 10 and keeps the energy high by providing upbeat tunes with heavy percussion elements.
Each member has taken the opportunity to turn their musical passion into something special with HOUSEKEEPING which translates their love of good music and parties outside of their 9 to 5.
The Past
HOUSEKEEPING have had huge success in the past with previous events held at the likes of Lio in Ibiza, Frankfurt MTV Music Awards, Il Bottacio in Knightsbridge and Le Salon in the West End to name a few. Each event has been a large scale production that has had the group transforming spaces completely in order to provide more than just your average clubbing experience.
The group’s experience thus far has set them up to be able to put on what is sure to be their biggest and best event yet next month at KOKO, Camden.
